german surnames Minkert

by John Harvey Minkert
(Angleton, Texas, USA)

My Great-Great Grandparents came to America from Germany some time before 1836 when my Great Grandfather William Henry Harrison Minkert was born. I hope that there are some Minkert relatives still in Germany with whom I may make contact. If you can help I would truly appreciate it.
Thank you very much,
John Harvey Minkert

Dear John,
thank you for your request.
The surname Minkert is very rare in Germany. There are only 3 telephone registrations with the last name "Minkert" in Germany, spread on 3 different regions/cities:
- Euskirchen (1)
- Potsdam (1)
- Landshut (1)

Check the german Telefonbuch.de. Maybe you want to contact someone from there directly. The name combination: "Uwe Minkert" seems to be the most often.

All the best,

Gabriela
