When you think of the finest, well designed footwear - then you’ll probably think of Italian shoes.

But also in Germany you’ll find many well designed shoes with the emphasis on quality and comfort. You may expect a big variety of shoes for reasonable prices.

Birkenstock

Shoes made by Birkenstock are maybe the most famous and most sold German shoes around the world. As Birkenstock Clogs, Sandals and Shoes – they have been a German tradition since 1774. Birkenstock's well designed footbed ensures an ergonomically correct environment for your feet.

This means that it cushions and supports your feet in wonderful comfort. You’ll find them as classic models in all colours and for all foot types from small to wide.

Nowadays you get also high-fashion Birkenstock clogs with gems - a special creation of German’s Topmodel Heidi Klum. (of course in a much more higher price range)

German Casual Footwear

In Germany you’ll find many casual shoe manufacturer with a long tradition. They offer a wide range of comfortable footwear – taking into account also the wider foot.

Rieker

Rieker specializes in casual shoes for ladies and gents. This German based company is renowned for comfort, style, and great value for money. Rieker shoes have a forgiving instep, a snug heel and a wide toe box for plenty wiggle-room.

Josef Seibel

Josef Seibel sandals, clogs and boots are worldwide known for their unique comfort and construction. These shoes feature premium upper leather, handsewn construction, insole and lining, Air Ped insoles, a polyeurethane outsole and air massage insoles.

Haflinger

The Haflinger family business produces since 30 years all its footwear in Germany. Haflinger clogs are made of 100% boiled wool, cork molded footbed, a sturdy and breathable design, toe grip and contoured heel seat, rocker heel and a special felt pad on the heel for better shock absorption.

Stegmann

Stegmann manufactures the World's finest Wool felt footwear. It's based on German tradition for four generations. These wool clogs are completely made of natural materials. Dressy German Footwear

Gabor
Under the Gabor brand my favorite German sneakers and bags are offered. Gabor is a Germany based company who is renowned for its flair with styling and qualtiy. You can find an expanded range of dressy and casual ladies shoes.

The small picture above shows you my two casual shoes by Gabor. I bought the orange ones in a store for approx. 90 Euro (100 USD). Because I love the design and comfort so much I've bought the green ones too - a bargain at ebay for almost half the price.

Piu di Servas This company based in Germany offers the lady's brands Remonte & Dorndorf. The typical style you get from size 2 - 9 in Navy and black.

Servas footwear consists of classic, modern styles with a hint of fashion. With the Dorndorf brand you get a wider fit offering modern styling with extreme comfort. Remonte concentrates on a "sporty" look including extreme comfort and flexibility.

Wear MBT Shoes and lose weight
