German Cheese
Gift Baskets

Could german cheese gift baskets be a perfect gift? Of course! Germany has in this field a rich variety to offer. It's always a pleasure when receiving a gift container filled with german gourmet cheeses and crackers. By sending such a food gift, you are showing that you care about elegance and good taste. Find in the following some inspirations which cheese to chose and where to find the best ones.

Allgäuer Emmentaler

The most famous one is the Allgäuer Emmentaler. It is high in protein - made from pure Bavarian milk - and has that familiar yet particular flavor. It's in our opinion a must-have for a german gift basket.

Bruder Basil

Bruder Basil is a Rauchkäse or better a smoked cheese. It has his name not from the basil herb but from a man. This special product was originally made in the abbey of Rotthalmunster by Trappist Monks. Over select beechwood embers smoked, this process gives Bruder Basil its unique flavor.

German Butterkäse

Butterkäse is Germany's best-selling cheese! It is smooth and creamy and similar to it's Danish counterpart Havarti in texture, also highly recommended.

Tilsiter

When your recipient prefers a slight pungent aroma and a delicate and fruity taste with spicy undertones then you should choose Tilsit. It is one of my favorites and it is excellent in sandwiches, grilled or cold.

Leave a lasting impression!

Send the very best german Emmentaler, Tilsiter or other yummy german food gifts and leave a lasting impression.
